BRUSSELS CHOCOLATE WALKING TOUR

Brussels Chocolate Tour (2,5hours)

Belgian chocolate has been a major industry since the 19th century and today it forms an important part of the nation's economy and culture with over 2,000 chocolatiers in the country, and over 172,000 tonnes of chocolate produced each year, and widely exported.

Belgian pralines (fondants) shaped like sea shells, fish, diamonds and filled with ganache, caramel, cream, nuts or marzipan - are a symphony of taste and texture. Made with the finest ingredients of natural origin, composed with the utmost care by our Maîtres Chocolatiers, each praline is graced with its own shape, flavor and name. The hand-rolled truffles complete the array of chocolates designed for connoisseurs.

Our Chocolate Guided Walk starts with a visit of the Cocoa Museum where you learn how first the Mayas, then the Aztecs, grew cocoa trees, how the cocoa bean conquered Europe and how cocoa is made into chocolate.

A master chocolate-maker will prepare pralines right in front of you. Tasting chocolate is of course a part of the tour.  Our tour continues to the finest sights of Brussels along with stops at some of the most famous artisan chocolatiers’ where we discover the whole gamut of chocolate pleasures. A series of mouth-watering chocolate treats await you at Neuhaus, Corné Port Royal, Godiva, Mary and Marcolini.
